About the Role

Utopian Coffee is seeking a Warehouse and Production Manager to oversee and manage our packaging, fulfillment, and warehouse operations. Reporting directly to the COO, this role is responsible for ensuring daily execution is efficient, accurate, organized, and well-coordinated across the operation.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has successfully managed a similar warehouse and production operation and can step in with minimal training. The right candidate will be comfortable leading from the floor, holding teams accountable, improving systems and processes, and helping the operation scale effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all day-to-day production, fulfillment, and warehouse operations
  • Manage daily workflow, staffing, labor allocation, priorities, and execution
  • Maintain high standards for productivity, accuracy, cleanliness, and safety
  • Create, maintain, and improve SOPs and ensure consistent team execution
  • Oversee inbound receiving, outbound shipping, inventory flow, and warehouse organization
  • Develop team members through coaching, accountability, and clear performance expectations
  • Identify issues quickly and improve processes, systems, and team performance
  • Maintain equipment readiness, workspace organization, and operational discipline
  • Make hiring, onboarding, performance management, disciplinary, and termination decisions in partnership with leadership and HR
  • Partner with roasting and other departments to keep operations aligned and running smoothly

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing and overseeing a similar warehouse, production, fulfillment, or manufacturing operation
  • Proven success managing and developing teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and accountability skills
  • Proven ability to improve processes, solve problems quickly, and drive operational performance
  • Strong understanding of inventory flow, warehouse organization, and daily production execution
  • Hands-on leadership style with willingness to work on the floor as needed
  • Food production, CPG, or regulated operations experience preferred
  • Experience leading a team of 10–20 people preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $75,000–$85,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and ability to step into the role with minimal training
