Job Description: CDL Hotshot Delivery Driver
Location: Columbus, GA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Summary: Jones Welding and Industrial Supplies, Inc. is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Hotshot Delivery Driver for our Columbus location. This role involves delivering cylinders and welding supplies while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. When not on delivery routes, the position includes assisting with warehouse operations and supporting customers as needed. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a CDL and Hazmat endorsement, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Duties:
  • Safely operate a CDL truck to deliver cylinders and welding supplies to customers.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including Hazmat sheets and delivery logs.
  • Follow all state and federal laws and regulations, particularly those pertaining to CDL and Hazmat transportation.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.
Warehouse & Shop Assistance:
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of materials.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
  • Support warehouse operations, including inventory management and restocking.
  • Assist customers with inquiries or product needs when in the shop.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth daily operations.
Qualifications:
  • Valid CDL with Hazmat endorsement required.
  • Experience with delivery driving and knowledge of DOT regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment where duties vary day to day.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Welding knowledge is a significant advantage.
