We’re looking for a Store Manager for our The Shoe Co. banner who will put their best foot forward.


As a Store Manager at The Shoe Co., you will report to the District Manager and lead the store environment, which fosters inclusivity and diverse customer connections. In this role, you will be responsible for coaching and leading the team to achieve store objectives, which includes in-store sales, web orders, goals, recruiting, performance management, training, and development. Your ability to problem solve, thrive in a past pace environment, lead a dynamic team and execute on operational excellence will be key to your success in this role.

 

Key job accountabilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Assumes leadership role with accountability for maximizing store business results by consistently creating exceptional Customer experiences.
  • Facilitates achievement of business results by role modelling a shopping experience that encourages uniquely responsive Customer service, compelling merchandise presentation and operational integrity that will encourage positive customer connections and loyalty
  • Lead an operationally sound business by balancing company policies, procedures, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling
  • Recruit, manage, develop, and train top talent who have a love of shoes
  • Achieves company objectives and enhance The Shoe Co. brand image by modeling our values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration, and Authenticity/humility
  • Develops and implement agile business plans to achieve results.
  • Fosters teamwork, collaboration and change advocacy within the store and district.
  • Maintain effective, open lines of communication with Senior Operational Managers.

Qualifications:

  • Educational background: relevant post-secondary education
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in progressive retail supervisory role
  • Proven success in the achievement of sales and profitability targets in large volume top doors
  • Positive and energetic team player with a strong leadership capability
  • Proven ability to motivate others
  • Proficiency in computer use, including e-mail, MS Word or other word processing program and Excel or other spreadsheet programs.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while also being committed to creating a compelling customer experience
  • Ability to work, days, closing shifts and weekends
  • Mobile within a geographic area
