Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing garments to meet clients’ specifications and ensure high-quality standards. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your craftsmanship in a professional environment, contributing to bespoke tailoring and custom clothing production. The ideal applicant will have a passion for fashion, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with various fabrics and sewing techniques.

Duties

  • Measure clients accurately to determine garment specifications and fitting requirements
  • Cut fabric according to patterns and client measurements with precision
  • Sew, alter, and repair garments using hand and machine sewing techniques
  • Ensure all finished products meet quality standards and client expectations
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including tools and equipment
  • Consult with clients regarding design preferences, fabric choices, and alterations needed
  • Keep detailed records of measurements, adjustments, and completed projects
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely delivery of garments

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Tailor or in a similar role within fashion or garment manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, patterns, fabrics, and garment construction
  • Excellent eye for detail and precision in measuring and stitching
  • Ability to interpret design sketches and adapt patterns accordingly
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
  • Flexibility to work within deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
  • Experience working with specialised sewing machines is desirable but not essential

Pay: £12.85-£15.22 per hour
