The role

The SVP Digital Video is a senior leadership position within Zoo 55, responsible for overseeing the entire YouTube and Social Video content team. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the strategic vision for ITV's digital content monetisation across all social video platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, and other emerging platforms.

Reporting to the Managing director of Zoo 55 and working closely with Digital Creative Director and COO, the role will focus on maximising existing channel performance/monetisation and delivering new channels and revenue streams across all platforms but with a focus on YouTube. Also working very closely with the VP marketing to deliver reach for both ITV Studios Shows.

This is a pivotal role which will lead in driving significant revenue growth in this space across ITV Studios 90,000+ hour library of formats and non-scripted/scripted IP. Beyond the social channels space, also a requirement to work closely with the wider digital leadership team and align on channel/growth opportunities, supporting the commercial expansion of ITV Studios' digital footprint and the delivery of ITV M&E’s YouTube portfolio

Main responsibilities

  • Develop and execute ITV Studios’ YouTube and social media content and monetisation strategy to drive revenues.
  • Work closely with the wider digital leadership team to align on growth opportunities and strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with GP sales teams to understand sales activity at a global, regional and local level and ensuring for each specific content brand the right approach to monetisation is adopted across both sales and digital channels
  • Develop relationships with Global Content team to understand content pipeline and how digital channels plays a part in content financing decisions and becomes a key monetisation opportunity for existing content brands, both in scripted and non-scripted space
  • Work closely with Studio 55 to ensure the delivery of brand content deals across the Zoo 55 portfolio of channels and accounts
  • Work closely with our strategic partner Merzigo, to manage and maximise that relationship
  • Work closely with the COO and Director of Operations to drive revenues using YouTube's Content ID System.
  • Work with content protection vendors to support the removal of illegal content from other platforms.
  • Utilise analytics tools to assess performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities and overall optimise channel performance to drive monetisation and viewing
  • Drive, measure and analyse overall Social Channels performance against key metrics.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis, stay abreast of industry trends, and leverage insights to improve content and strategy.
  • Lead relationships with digital platforms to stay ahead of the evolving digital landscape.
  • Streamline operational workflows including the use of AI and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide leadership for the entire Digital channels team, guiding their development, identifying coaching opportunities, and fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

  • Solid experience leading a team in the social video space.
  • Experience in leading change and managing transitions within a digital or media environment, ensuring smooth implementation of new processes and strategies.
  • Experience in budget planning and financial oversight.
  • Expertise in utilising data analytics to inform strategic decisions, optimise content performance, and drive business growth.
  • Strong commercial focus with experience in identifying and leveraging revenue opportunities on digital/social platforms.
  • Deep passion for digital/social media and content distribution, with a keen interest in emerging technologies and platforms.
  • Demonstrate an ability to grow channels and fans and revenues on multiple platforms
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking in digital video growth
