Overview

Assumes the overall responsibility for provision of clinical nursing service under the direction of the Assistant Chief Nurse Executive and/or the Chief Nurse Executive. Assumes the overall management activities during the absence of the Administrative Management to assure safe and effective patient care.

 

 


Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT 

Associate's degree from 2-year college or technical school in Nursing; or two years (60 credit hours) coursework from 4-year college or university; or three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT  

An additional three (3) years in a related field.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

An individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

Possess and maintain an Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Must be certified in CPR & maintain throughout employment. Must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of employment and maintain throughout employment. A driver's license may be required to work in some departments.  If so, the applicant/employee must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

Competency in basic computer skills, knowledge of common equipment used in nursing area, working background in patient care area.

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.

 

Work Hours: Rotating 12 hour shifts
