About the position

Our talented fashion design team, the Nordstrom Product Group (NPG), develops, designs, produces, and sources all Nordstrom‑brand products. From traditional to trendy, this team shapes the styles and looks our customers love. And now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to join this team. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst supports NPG’s apparel sourcing strategy by delivering data‑driven insights across vendor performance, costing, and production efficiency. This role partners closely with Sourcing, Product Development, Production, and Design teams to help optimize vendor strategies, improve margins, and support responsible, timely production. This is an ideal role for someone with strong analytical skills and hands‑on experience in apparel or product sourcing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze vendor and factory performance across cost, quality, lead time, and capacity
  • Support apparel costing, margin analysis, and cost‑optimization initiatives
  • Assist with vendor strategy, including evaluation, scorecards, and factory optimization
  • Build and maintain sourcing reports and dashboards to support leadership decisions
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Product Development, Production, and Sourcing teams
  • Track sourcing risks, timelines, and supply chain trends tied to seasonal calendars
  • Support responsible sourcing and ESG initiatives through data and reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in apparel sourcing, production, product development, or supply chain analytics
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills
  • Understanding of apparel manufacturing, vendors, and production timelines
  • Strong analytical skills, with a focus on ensuring data accuracy and leveraging data for strategic insights; ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in a fast‑paced environment
