Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The role: In this role you will be a key member of the team creating enterprise applications needed to design, build, and operate the organization’s business services. You will be responsible for the technical and functional support to software product development in SAP S/4. Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, has strong knowledge of SAP functional and technical modules, has excellent organizational and time management skills and has a successful track record of delivering large-scale ERP projects. The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential.

Key job responsibilities
  • Define multi-year strategy, roadmaps, and success metrics aligned to Leo’s business objectives
  • Understand business requirements working with PMT, Business stakeholders, super users
  • Anticipate systemic risks and dependencies before they impact delivery
  • Raise the bar for program management excellence across the organization
  • Work with engineering teams (SAP Developers, Functional designers, process designers, security, Admin and other members) to understand the effort needed
  • Build project plans and sprint schedules understanding engineering team bandwidth
  • Manage dependencies inside and outside of the team to get the team answers on time, unblock the team and execute to aligned project plan and business need by dates
  • Identify and escalate risks, manage issue resolution
  • Bring in project management best practices , setup right processes, align with existing processes to delivery results
  • Earn trust from the engineering team, stakeholders and leadership
  • Setup Jira and other tools used for capturing and running projects and sprint cadence

About the team
Amazon Leo for Government (ALG) team is responsible for a suite of products to automate and optimize business operations for Amazon Leo for Government (ALG). This is anchored in business process modeling and configuring SAP ERP’s enterprise capabilities to streamline and optimize critical business processes, including Order-to-Cash (OTC), Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Record-to-Report (RTR), and Make-to-Order (MTO). The team also owns Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and Pricing systems. The solutions are built to comply with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or business-related field
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience implementing and managing SAP ERP solutions, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
  • Knowledge of procurement and source to pay processes and solutions or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense sector.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
