The Opportunity

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is seeking a results-driven Sr. Manager, Operations Experience to join our team. This role will serve as a strategic resource across our aggregate operations delivering executable, efficient processes in our stores. This role is ideal for a leader who is passionate about process improvement and driving measurable improvements in efficiency and productivity. The role will collaborate with Stores, Field Leadership, Supply Chain, Marketing, Technology/Product, Accounting, Labor Management, and Franchise teams to identify, quantify, and implement process improvement opportunities that enhance performance, reduce costs, support long-term growth, and most importantly deliver value to the customer.

Specific Areas of process improvement:

  • Inventory Accuracy and Management
  • Point of Sale and Technology improvements (business cases and requirement documentation)
  • Equipment and Tools utilized in oil change and services offered
  • Overall owner of full oil change process known as SuperPro

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Coordination – Lead team of SME’s and Managers to identify performance gaps through data analysis and implement solutions that deliver measurable improvements.
  • Partner with Store center managers to evaluate processes and create solutions.
  • Serve as a resource in evaluation of new store layouts, equipment upgrades, and process modifications to improve productivity.
  • Analyze KPI data to uncover operational inefficiencies and financial opportunities. You will service as the point person for optimizing and enhancing our KPI tracking platform.
  • Quantify improvement opportunities and track ROI of implemented initiatives.
  • Interpret store performance trends and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions to align departments on business goals.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage improvement projects, coordinating with vendors and contractors, as needed.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members and outside teams on problem-solving methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Engage stakeholders to ensure alignment on improvement priorities and execution.
  • Other responsibilities as determined by Valvoline


Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations, inventory accuracy and continuous improvement leadership.
  • Proven experience in technical coordination, project management, or related roles (5 years)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence rather than authority — you coach, elevate, and empower team members by serving as a trusted thought partner. You take pride in helping others succeed, guiding decision‑making behind the scenes.
  • Extensive knowledge of processing improvement tools (Figma, Vizio, statistical analysis tools)
  • Ability to understand and then influence and support process improvement opportunities across operations.
  • Prior plant management and area/regional operational leadership experience is a plus.
  • Planogram design experience preferred
  • Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to quantify and deliver measurable improvements.
  • Skilled in interpreting operational data, KPIs, and financial metrics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Financial acumen with the ability to identify and quantify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite of products
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including technical reporting.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Comfortable working in both field and office environments.
  • Comfortable with up to 10-20% travel
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
