**Primary Purpose**

**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION**

Develops studies, plans, criteria, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, performance assessments, integrated systems analysis, cost estimates, budgets, associated with the planning, design, licensing, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of Exelon's electric generation, transmission, distribution, gas and telecommunication facilities/systems. Provides analytical support and consultation and recommendations to the Company within and to other business units and/or customers as a result of studying company or customer-owned systems, processes, equipment, vehicles or facilities. Reviews financial data for budget and actual costs of projects. Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

**Primary Duties**

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**

+ Leads and performs engineering assignments associated with critical engineering projects or a number of small projects with many complex features require extensive company experience that may include leading employees or contractors in the commissioning of electrical systems and equipment to be placed On System. (45%)

+ Performs assignments in areas where engineering precedents are incomplete, lacking or require broad experience. (25%)

+ Evaluates, develops and implements projects that have significant financial and operational impact. (10%)

+ May serve as an expert for organization in a specific area or responsibility that may include the delivery of classroom instruction/training and/or OJT/OJE. (5%)

+ Performs assignments while acting independently, and may lead multi-discipline teams. (5%)

+ Provides recommendations and implements action plans to improve performance and cost effectiveness. (5%)

+ Participates in technical and industry societies and committees to enhance knowledge of new technologies or issues in areas of company interest. (5%)

**Minimum Qualifications**

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 4 or more years of relevant experience, or 6 or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

+ Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.

+ Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches.

+ Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.

+ Knowledge of complex field test equipment.

+ Broad knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices necessary to perform routine assignments for a specific discipline installations, or service.

+ Relevant education/experience is knowledge and/or skills that may be acquired through job experiences or education programs similar to a formal technical degree program. Relevant experience includes experience in a military role (transmission, distribution, gas, power systems, etc.), project management, journey-level electrician or gas technician, field operations, or other utility related experience, as deemed relevant to the role. Relevant educational experience includes company sponsored training programs (ex. PowerUp Academy) or other educational programs, as deemed relevant to the role. The equivalent relevant education / experience requirement is in addition to the position's minimum experience requirements.

The Engineering Technical Specialist drives advanced drone operations across Exelon's infrastructure, leveraging both hands on and automated capabilities to improve safety, reliability, and cost efficiency. This role executes manual inspections while leading Drone in a Box deployments that enable continuous monitoring, rapid response, and data driven decision making across the enterprise.

+ Valid FAA Remote Pilot Certificate

+ Level 1 Thermographer certification

+ Ability to lift and carry 55 lbs

+ Advanced degree in Uncrewed aviation or related field

+ Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $88,800.00/Yr. - $122,100.00/Yr.
