Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Shift: Monday–Thursday, Day Shift | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Some early evening or weekend overtime may be required.

Pay: $18.00/hour
-Automatic $0.50 raises every 4 months for the first two years
-Quarterly bonus opportunities

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-minded Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support our warehouse operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of materials in and out of the warehouse. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and experienced in warehouse logistics and forklift operation.

Responsibilities

  • Load trucks and assist with outbound shipments
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders
  • Unload and inspect incoming materials and products
  • Sort, label, and stock items in the warehouse
  • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently
  • Operate reach trucks and other material handling equipment
  • Prepare shipping documents and labels for outgoing shipments
  • Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system
  • Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Experience operating reach trucks or other material handling equipment
  • Experience loading and unloading materials
  • Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and procedures
  • Familiarity with inventory and stock management principles
  • Experience with order picking and packing methods
  • Understanding of shipping and receiving procedures
  • Experience using an MRP or similar inventory management system
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (10+ hours per shift)
  • Frequent climbing, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs individually and team lift up to 110 lbs
  • Ability to use hands, fingers, and arms to operate machinery and handle materials
  • Sufficient vision (with or without reasonable accommodation) to safely operate equipment, identify colors, read labels, and navigate a warehouse environment
