Reporting to department leadership, the Senior Transformation Facilitator serves as a strategic partner in driving organizational excellence and advancing enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. The Senior Transformation Facilitator will work closely with leaders and Team Members throughout the enterprise to build internal problem-solving capability, develop a culture of continuous improvement, and improve efficiencies to stabilize key processes utilizing a variety of tools including Lean Methodology. The Senior Transformation Facilitator will coach leaders and teams at all levels to strengthen operational effectiveness, align initiatives with strategic priorities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability. Acting as a change leader, this position bridges strategy and execution by enabling data-driven decision-making, overcoming barriers, and ensuring that transformation efforts deliver measurable impact for the organization and those it serves.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Enterprise Transformation Leadership: Lead strategically linked transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment across enterprise priorities while fostering synergy between departments, processes, and teams to maximize organizational impact.
  2. Strategic Transformation Leadership: Partner with executives and senior leaders to design, align, and executive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives that advance organizational strategy, strengthen management systems, and foster a sustainable culture of continuous improvement.
  3. STAR Team Operational Excellence: Support System Transformation & Re-Engineering leadership with internal Hoshin Kanri by proposing, facilitating, and sustaining annual priorities that align with operational excellence goals to deliver measurable organization impact.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Engage and influence senior leaders by constructively challenging assumptions, fostering critical dialogue, and guiding decision-making to ensure transformation initiatives achieve enterprise-wide outcomes.
  5. Leadership in the Gemba: Coach, support, and challenge leaders in the Gemba to create synergy between multiple divisions and reinforce data-driven decisions. Use data, metrics, and observations in the Gemba to identify and propose improvement opportunities, measure impact, and Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) as needed to drive operational excellence.
  6. Enterprise Enablement: Anticipate and address systemic barriers to transformation by engaging senior leaders, mobilizing resources, and creating enterprise-wide solutions that accelerate progress and sustainment. Influence prioritization of overcoming barriers, problem-solving, and resource deployment in collaboration with leadership in the Gemba.
  7. Facilitation & Coaching: Lead the facilitation of complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives that drive enterprise-level outcomes. Apply advanced facilitation techniques to navigate ambiguity, manage stakeholder dynamics, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Coach and empower leaders to strengthen their problem-solving, execution, and change leadership capabilities. Guide the team through all phases of improvement cycle- ensuring disciplined planning, effective execution, impactful implementation, and sustainment.
  8. A3 Thinking Proficiency: Demonstrate mastery in applying A3 problem-solving methodology to diagnose complex, enterprise-level challenges. Lead others in defining systemic issues, identifying root causes, and developing sustainable countermeasures that drive measurable business impact. Mentor and coach peers and leaders in structured thinking, data-driven decision-making and disciplined execution. Leverage lean tools and demonstrate strong proficiency with tool enhancement, maintaining strong Lean principles.
  9. Communication & Consensus Building: Effectively communicate Transformational objectives, strategies, and outcomes to diverse audiences with varying Lean competencies. Be adaptable in coaching approach and agile in adapting to changing environments and stakeholders. Lead dynamic and ambiguous transformation initiatives by applying high emotional intelligence to build trust, navigate resistance, and foster alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  10. Operational Data Analysis & Insights: Perform data analyses to support process improvement initiatives by identifying appropriate data analysis tools and approach to assess system or process performance; determining suitable data gathering and analysis methods. Own and report on key performance indicators related to transformation impact across business units.
  11. Subject Matter Expert & Guidance: Act as department Subject Matter Expert (SME) and trusted advisor to peers. Strengthen team capability and alignment, fostering a culture of collaboration, shared learning, and mutual support by building strong internal relationships and promoting consistent, high-quality execution of transformation initiatives across the department.
  12. Perform any other duties as required to ensure Health Plan operations and department needs are successful.


Qualifications

Education & Requirements
  • Five (5) years of demonstrated experience, at a professional level, in process/project management including participation in improvement projects or operations and five (5) years in a dedicated Lean role required
  • Experience leading change management initiatives at an enterprise level required
  • Project Management experience required
  • Experience with advance Lean technical concepts such as level loading, pull, mistake proofing and rapid changeover
  • Experience leading VSA, RIE, Process Mapping, and Discovery
  • Prior health care experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
    • In lieu of the required degree, a minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant work experience and successful completion of a competency assessment is required for this position
    • This experience is in addition to the minimum years listed in the Experience Requirements above
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution preferred
  • Certified trainer or group facilitator preferred
Key Qualifications
  • Advanced comprehensive knowledge, familiarity, and aptitude in the following:
    • Lean tools and methodologies, including A3 thinking, Kaizen events, value stream mapping and Lean technical concepts such as 5S, quality, flow, and visual systems.
    • The use of small group and adult learning techniques
    • Applied Data Analysis
    • Change Management principles.
    • Understanding of interdependencies with cross-functional stakeholders and business implications of decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, influence stakeholders at all levels, and navigate difficult conversations with tact and professionalism to drive alignment, resolve conflict, and accelerate transformation outcomes
  • Demonstrated skill in successfully working with and motivating diverse work teams, including group process facilitation, change management and conflict resolution
  • Must demonstrate influence without authority and be proficient in modeling and navigating highly dynamic situations requiring Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
  • Skilled in teaching improvement concepts and principles to diverse audiences from Executive Leaders to frontline staff. Must be able to assess learning styles and modify approach to meet the need of the moment or learning style
  • Excellent project and time management skills. Must be able to utilize critical thinking & discernment to escalate or mitigate as needed to overcome delays and barriers
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and listening). Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to understand and support teams through data-driven problem solving through A3 Thinking and Change Management process
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Read and interpret data and translate data into meaningful information to shape work at both the department and enterprise level
  • Ability to analyze and document complex business processes using process modeling tools such as Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.).

Pay Range

USD $104,041.60 - USD $137,841.60 /Yr.
