Summary Remote position. The Senior Business Applications Consultant has a developed specialization within a specific domain of expertise. You will need to be able to work independently as well as in teams. You will often be responsible for the completion of parts of a project or activities for which you will lead a small team. It will be necessary for you to be client-oriented and be able to explore sales activities. • 5+ years of experience as a Business Applications Consultant or similar role • Proficient with Deltek Costpoint (recently released versions) • 5+ years of experience with SAP, Peoplesoft, JD Edwards, UNANET, Fusion, and other business management software will be considered • Knowledge of diverse business matters such as IT, Marketing, and Human Resources • Able to lead full implementations and train others on basic, intermediate, and admin processes within the following Costpoint modules: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Consolidations, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Multicurrency, Advanced Project Budgeting, Billing, Budgeting & ETC, arenaflex and Revenue Processing, Project Setup, Inter-Company Work Orders, Subcontractor Management, Time Collection, and Expense • Understanding of intermediate processing and the ability to lead training on basic processes within the following Costpoint modules: Labor, Leave, Product Definition, Procurement Planning, Purchasing, Receiving • Deltek Certified in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, Projects, Time and Expense, and Procurement or the ability to become certified within 1 year of employment • Experience with Support Agreements/Reconciliations/Net New is a plus • Familiarity with a wide selection of business management software and databases is a plus • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically MS Office 365 is a plus • Highly motivated and self-directed work ethic • Aptitude in creative problem-solving • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills • Analytical mind with excellent data collection and analysis skills • Productive and organized in a remote work environment Responsibilities • Organize and execute assigned business projects on behalf of clients (accounting, timekeeping, payroll, project control, management reporting, etc.) according to client’s requirements • Meet with assigned clients when needed and perform an initial assessment of a problematic situation • Collect information about the client’s business through a variety of methods (shadowing, interviews, surveys, reading reports, etc.) • Analyze and interpret data to unearth weaknesses and problems and comprehend the causes • Formulate recommendations and solutions with attention to a client’s wishes, capabilities, and limitations forming concise reports • Present findings and suggestions to clients with ample justification and practical advice • Develop detailed business plans to drive small or radical changes • Assist the client in implementing the plan and resolving any occasional discrepancies • Provide guidance for any occurring problems and issues • Mentor associate consultants and other consultants • Provide insight and documentation into process improvement for client supported activities for the internal team to utilize • Provide insight into the level of effort for parts of projects or activities • Timely completion of all required compliance training, timecard submissions, program/project performance and status reporting, and timely execution of people management tasks (e.g., goal setting, self-assessment, etc.) The job description above is not intended to be a comprehensive list.
