The Sr Data Analyst will become an integral member of a team focused full time on continuous improvement of the Consumer / Retail solution, a division of Cox Automotive. To succeed in this position, ingesting, cleaning, mining and transforming data will be required. The Sr Data Analyst will also build and validate metrics, monitor data quality, analyze various forms of data (e.g. raw data, base data, 3rd party data, metrics), provide robust reports and interpret results. The Sr Data Analyst will work with stakeholders to provide insights into the data and deep-dive analysis for new product offerings and trends in the market. They will work alongside team members to achieve operational objectives that align to a strategic business plan. This position must be able to communicate equally well with business owners, stakeholders, cross functional teams, and technology professionals. Excellent analytical skills, a professional demeanor and the ability to participate in a team environment are keys to this position. WHAT YOU'LL DO Responsibilities: Data Process Development & Management • Build and optimize data processes: Support and collaborate with data team projects to design better data pipelines. Understand input data, output data, and required transformations. Work closely with data suppliers to ensure data quality and integrity. • Lead AI-enhanced data initiatives: Identify opportunities to implement AI, machine learning, or automation tools (e.g., CoPilot in Power BI or Tableau) to accelerate data preparation, reporting, and insights generation. • Consult on project management: Help manage projects to build new and improve existing data pipelines, driving deliverables, measuring KPIs, and reporting progress to leadership. Data Analytics & Insights • Explore new analytics opportunities: Research automotive listing data trends, competitive landscapes, and innovative product features. Serve as liaison between Sales, Marketing, and Product Strategy to inform data-driven decisions. • Perform AI-assisted data analysis: Use AI-powered tools and scripting to mine, validate, and interpret complex datasets efficiently. Translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders. • Develop reports and dashboards: Utilize Power BI, Tableau, or AI-assisted visualization tools to present insights in the most effective format for decision-making. • Monitor and analyze key metrics: Execute recurring analyses, identify trends, and provide AI-supported recommendations for business performance improvement. Information Management & Data Governance • Coordinate and integrate data feeds: Source, merge, and transform internal and external data into usable information. Implement AI/ML models to automate data cleaning, transformation, and metric derivation. • Support data monitoring & quality systems: Develop mechanisms for automated data validation and quality assurance. • Assist development teams: Maintain AI-assisted data reporting models and enhance reporting automation. • Build and validate derived metrics: Apply AI to generate predictive or prescriptive insights and validate associated business rules. • Audit tagging & analytics configuration: Use AI tools to recommend improvements for web analytics setups. Tools & Technology • Agile/Project Management: ServiceNow or equivalent Agile tools • Data & Analytics: PL/SQL, Python, Power BI (with CoPilot or AI integration), Power Automate, Tableau, Snowflake, arenaflex, S3 • AI/Automation: AI-driven data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (including CoPilot integration for BI platforms) WHO YOU ARE Qualifications • Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future. • Automotive industry experience preferred. • Bachelors Degree in related discipline + 4 years direct experience or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience required. • Must have 4+ years of experience performing data analysis and building data processes • 2+ years working with Agile Scrum teams, ETL development, and cloud data warehouses like Redshift and Snowflake preferred. • Must have experience in digital or web analytics • Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and task scheduling. • Proficient in SQL across platforms such as Snowflake, Oracle, MS-SQL, and DB2. Must have snowflake experience • Hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and implementing ETL solutions. • Skilled in handling and analyzing large-scale datasets. • Knowledgeable in data extrapolation, interpretation, and effective chart/visual compilation. • Proven experience conducting both quantitative and qualitative analysis. • Experienced with data visualization and reporting tools including Power BI (with AI/CoPilot experience a plus), Tableau, and DOMO. • Experience presenting data-driven insights to leadership to guide decision-making preferred • Power user of MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint) for business analysis and presentations. • Collaborative nature with the ability to balance strategic vision and tactical execution. • Strong understanding of data science concepts, machine learning applications, and product management principles • Experience with web analytics tools such as arenaflex Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and other tagging technologies preferred • Exposure to AI-powered analytics tools, automation frameworks, or machine learning models integrated into BI workflows is a plus. • Ability to adapt to emerging AI-driven data tools such as CoPilot in Power BI/Tableau to accelerate analysis and reporting.
