Role Overview:

Yellow Dog Software, the leader in inventory management software solutions, is seeking a highly driven sales professional to join our growing team. Our primary markets include sports, entertainment, amusement, lodging, clubs, retail, and F&B establishments. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a desire to contribute to the business success of these clients by delivering tailored inventory management solutions and superior client service.

Reporting to our Sales Manager, we are seeking a driven sales professional with a consultative approach and sophisticated business acumen to work in our Institutions and Gaming vertical. The successful candidate is an ambitious, self-motivated sales professional who creates opportunities rather than waits for them. You learn quickly, think strategically, and thrive on demonstrating innovative solutions to new audiences. A proactive problem solver, you bring forward fresh ideas, take ownership of challenges, and build strong relationships with ease. Above all, you are energized by selling into hospitality environments and excited to work with complex organizations and high-performance venues where impact and scale matter.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Schedule and deliver quality web-based product demonstrations, preparing tailored approaches and diligent follow-up.
  • Create accurate proposals and contracts that set clear, achievable expectations for clients and internal teams.
  • Master and execute company-defined sales methodologies and SOPs.
  • Ensure CRM data integrity within Zoho through disciplined management practices, and create precise, polished sales materials and client communications that reflect company standards.
  • Engage in proactive industry networking for lead generation purposes.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our products and benefits –must demonstrate consultative sales skills and a willingness to become a subject matter expert on retail and food & beverage inventory practices.
  • Attending trade shows and industry sponsored events as needed.
  • Working with partners and other industry professionals; learn how and translate clearly the ways our software can solve problems for prospects and partners.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with 3rd party vendors where applicable.
  • Answer and direct incoming sales calls, responding to client inquiries, consulting with existing clients for software add-ons, generating, sharing, and explaining quotes.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Proven track record selling in Inventory Management, Purchasing, Hospitality Software Development space, including full-cycle sales activities such as prospecting, discovery, product demonstrations, objection handling, and closing.
  • Advanced CRM proficiency, with demonstrated experience managing pipelines, forecasting, reporting, and sales workflows; experience with Zoho CRM strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude and curiosity of advancing technology required, with keen ability to confidently articulate technical value to customers without sales engineering support.
  • High level of financial acumen, with comfort navigating sophisticated financial practices, ROI discussions, and executive-level budget conversation.
