About The Role

Position: Retail Security Officer

Hourly Rate: £13.85 - £15.52* (*hourly rate inclusive of holiday pay)

Schedule: Shifts available Monday - Sunday (between 08:30 - 22:00)

We are looking for professional and experienced Security Officers with a strong background in retail security to join our team in Keeping People Safe in London's top stores.

Work with prestigious brands such as JD Sports, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Russell & Bromley, M&M’s, and Swatch where our highly trained security teams deliver exceptional customer service and asset protection.

A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence or SIA Security Guarding Licence is required for this role.

Your main duties will include:

  • Ensure proper upkeep and functionality of in-store PPE, including radios, body cams, and pagers.
  • Maintain high vigilance throughout your shift, discreetly observing the store environment.
  • Actively patrol and monitor security cameras to safeguard both customers and store team.
  • Provide friendly assistance to customers, enhancing their in-store experience.
  • Assist in the removal of unwelcome visitors from the premises.
  • Stay alert to any unusual activity or safety concerns on site.
  • Report observations and actions to store management, with accurate documentation.
  • Play a crucial role in loss prevention and asset protection.
  • Prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity within the store.
  • Create a welcoming and safe environment for customers and staff.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to any security issues that may arise.
  • Enforce and implement store policies and procedures.
  • Manage difficult situations with professionalism and calmness.
  • Report any suspicious behaviour or activity to the relevant authorities.
  • Maintain detailed incident records and provide comprehensive reports to management.

About You:

Experience as a Retail Security Officer is required for this role.

The ideal candidate should be:

  • Highly skilled in security practices, with a solid background in retail environments.
  • Excellent at customer service, with a proactive approach to engaging with the public.
  • A strong communicator, with the ability to write detailed, accurate reports.
  • Alert and proactive, always on the lookout for potential issues.
  • Impeccably presented, always maintaining a smart appearance.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Capable of handling varied situations, showing maturity and sound decision-making skills.

During screening you must be able to provide evidence of 5 year employment/education history and references in a timely manner upon request.
