Housed within Plum Point Lodge, our 55-seat dining room and scenic outdoor terrace offer guests a unique culinary experience featuring locally sourced ingredients, paired with the region’s finest wines, craft beers, and spirits. Known for our casual fine dining, breathtaking lakefront views, and warm hospitality, Sapalta is a destination for both locals and visitors exploring the Seneca Lake Wine Trail.

Job Description: We are seeking experienced, passionate, and professional servers to join our front-of-house team at Sapalta. As a server, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences, showcasing our seasonal menus, and highlighting the best of Finger Lakes’ food and beverage offerings. This is a seasonal position with opportunities for full-time or part-time hours, perfect for those who thrive in a dynamic, guest-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive, friendly, and professional service to guests in a fast-paced, upscale dining setting.
  • Present and explain seasonal menus, recommend wine and beverage pairings, and accommodate dietary needs.
  • Ensure a seamless dining experience by coordinating with kitchen and bar staff.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Engage with guests to share the story of our locally sourced ingredients and the Finger Lakes region.
  • Assist with special events, winemaker dinners, and private functions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of serving experience in a fine dining, farm-to-table, or upscale restaurant setting. PREFERRED.
  • Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage pairings, with an interest in Finger Lakes wines and local cuisine. PREFERRED.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a warm, professional demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure in a high-volume environment.
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (restaurant operates 5–7 nights per week during the season).
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
