Job description

The Transformation Directorate drives benefits-focused transformational change, delivering CCG and HMRC strategic objectives (within CCG). Its vision is to be recognised as leading and delivering best practice change and transformation.

In the last year, the Directorate has been designed to include key functions in Programme and Project Management, Change Management, Business Partnering, the Transformation Portfolio Office as well as the Directors Private Office.

The Directorate is currently in a period of growth and intense recruitment due to the Spending Review. Together the team has made great strides to reprioritise and refine the Transformation Portfolio and progress both HMRC- and CCG-led initiatives as well as developing the necessary processes, governance, standards and capability whilst aligning closely with HMRCs Transformation Group.

Person specification

Responsibilities:

The role sits within our Transformation Portfolio Office (TPO) team, who have overall responsibility for providing specific expertise and management of the Customer Compliance Group Transformation Directorate's (CCG-TD) project and programme portfolio.

As a Resource and Recruitment Support you will have responsibility for processing the directorate's end-to-end recruitment plans. Working together with vacancy holders, project managers and senior leads managing them through our internal recruitment processes.

You will work closely with another resource coordinator on the team and liaise with Unity Business Services (UBS) adopting key teamwork principles to ensure vacancies are progressing in a timely manner mitigating delays by applying your civil service recruitment knowledge and skills.

The role also requires extensive data management, tracking and maintaining datasets such as recruitment dashboards, staff in post and resource tools across the directorate ensuring accurate data is collated.

You will be required to manage team inboxes, using recruitment knowledge to answer candidate, panellist and vacancy holder queries, escalating where necessary.

This is a fast-paced environment with a requirement to be adaptable to change, therefore applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to work at pace and manage competing and changing priorities as recruiting our required resources within short timescale is key to us delivering the Directorates business plans.

This demanding role would be particularly suitable for a high-performing individual who is looking for further development.

The candidate should be flexible and be able to create and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and teams at all levels in the directorate. The successful candidate must also have experience of being able to work independently with minimal supervision and motivating team colleagues to achieve our recruitment goals.

Essential Criteria:

Demonstrable experience coordinating recruitment campaigns from initial vacancy creation through to onboarding.

Experience of efficiently handle and prioritise a busy shared inbox, responding promptly and professionally to internal and external queries.

Experience in supporting a team to succeed and contribute to the success of the wider team.

Strong communication skills. Being able to communicate at all levels with confidence.

Experience of establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, fostering collaboration to enhance service delivery.

A strong level of IT literacy, including using Excel to collate and validate large data sets from various sources.
