They are seeking a Technical Consultant for Power and Cooling to join their High Performance Computing team, responsible for architecting complex power and cooling solutions and collaborating with stakeholders to meet project goals.


Responsibilities

  • Decipher complex RFP requirements related to facility power and cooling infrastructure and help IT architects design an IT solution that fits within those limitations
  • Architect complex power and cooling solutions for air and water-cooled IT solutions
  • Work with key stakeholders (customers or internal) requesting infrastructure enhancements to develop a clear understanding of requirements and success criteria
  • Collaborate with sales and critical engineering subject matter experts to determine the solution scope and projected costs
  • Continue partnerships with internal or external customers to ensure the project goals and requirements are met
  • Drive the build vs. buy decisions as needed, and identify key technologies needed to deliver new products with each release
  • Participate actively with Development and external organizations like ASHRAE while staying current with technologies and techniques that will move our business forward
  • Be actively involved in the physical installation of complex IT system that are air or water-cooled
  • Be able to provide engineering guidance over a wide range of disciplines (power/electrical, mechanical, thermal, plumbing, controls)

Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in providing effective leadership in engagements as a technical consultant in the power and cooling subject matter area
  • Experience working in technology disciplines such as power/electrical or mechanical/thermal engineering
  • Understanding of data center and IT solution power delivery architectures; cooling architectures and heat transfer
  • Proven ability to work across a wide range of stakeholders and ability to drive issues to closure
  • Experience in providing effective leadership in engagements as a technical consultant in the power and cooling subject matter area
  • Strong customer interaction skills and ability to make technical decisions
