They are seeking a Senior Regulatory Advisor to ensure compliance with government regulations and corporate policies while providing guidance and recommendations for process improvements.


Responsibilities

  • To provide support to ensure that FedEx Trade Networks transport & brokerage, inc. (Ftn) is in compliance with government regulations and corporate policy and procedures
  • The position identifies and analyzes information pertaining to entry and billing, cash applications and adjustments within parameters that include cbp regulations regarding importer and broker requirements
  • This position supports the senior manager with business analysis and recommendations for process and compliance quality improvements
  • Analyzes data provided from multiple platforms (duplex, coda, god)
  • Creates reports resulting in meaningful information and recommendations to ensure compliance with established service quality indicators, corporate policy (including sarbanes-oxley cash controls), and government regulations
  • Identifies resources from government and trade publications for inclusion on the regulatory library to ensure that the latest information is available for FTN operations and support departments
  • Provides guidance to FTN regulatory management and associates when dealing with difficult questions of a financial nature including the billing system, proper accounting to customers and cash flow management
  • Identifies pending regulatory changes and analyzes effect on FTN and customers
  • Presents recommendations for process enhancements and represents regulatory compliance on cross-functional/cross-departmental teams
  • Participates in sensitive and privileged investigations with senior manager and managing director
  • This includes data gathering, information analysis, recommendations and execution of initiatives and mandates

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business related field
  • Seven (7) years experience is required
  • Customs broker's license or ccs credential preferred
  • Broad knowledge of international logistics trade with an emphasis on U.S. Customs regulations and laws
  • High degree of proficiency with excel, access and ms word applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interface with a broad range of peers, professionals and executives
  • Four years Brokerage work experience required
  • Regulatory experience preferred
  • Brokers License required
  • QDM Apprentice required
  • Thorough knowledge of customs regulations, harmonized tariff schedule, and any other federal agency laws, regulations, procedures governing the customs brokerage industry with preferred emphasis in post-entry processes
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple work assignments in a time-sensitive atmosphere
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Organizational and problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to handle high volume and time sensitive of work
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Shift: Mon - Fri 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Location: This is a remote role
