The Senior Manager, Data Analytics and Operations is responsible for executing data analytics initiatives, managing workflows, and leading a team of data analysts to deliver high-quality analytics products.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of data analytics pipelines, ETL processes, and data quality monitoring
  • Manage production schedules for recurring analytics deliverables and customer reports
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for data analytics workflows
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  • Coordinate with IT and data engineering teams on infrastructure and technical requirements
  • Directly manage and mentor a team of 3-5 data analysts and associate data scientists
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team workload to ensure timely delivery
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and promote knowledge sharing
  • Identify training needs and facilitate skill development opportunities
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of analytics products to customers and stakeholders
  • Implement quality control processes for data validation and report accuracy
  • Review and approve team deliverables before customer release
  • Manage service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Document analytics methodologies and maintain technical documentation
  • Serve as primary point of contact for day-to-day customer inquiries and requests
  • Coordinate with account management on operational aspects of customer engagements
  • Support customer onboarding processes and technical implementation
  • Gather feedback on analytics products and identify improvement opportunities
  • Prepare status reports and presentations on operational metrics
  • Lead tactical analytics projects from requirements gathering through delivery
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for team initiatives

Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence roles
  • 3+ years of people management experience with demonstrated success in team development
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Advanced skills in Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and automation
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and data pipeline orchestration (e.g., Matillion (preferred), Airflow, dbt)
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices
  • Strong people management and team development skills
  • Excellent project management with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Analytics, or related quantitative field preferred
