Ontra is a global leader in AI legal tech for private markets, seeking a Remote Freelance Corporate Lawyer to support their customers in negotiating sell-side NDAs. The role involves reviewing and negotiating contracts, advising on negotiation parameters, and engaging with in-house legal teams while utilizing Ontra’s software to drive efficiencies in the contract process. Responsibilities • Review and negotiate a high volume of sell-side NDAs for investment banks, often while managing multiple processes simultaneously • Advise on and draft negotiation parameters for bank’s counsel to review and approve - helping to successfully kick off the process, and set a professional tone for negotiations to come • Consistently learn and adopt new technologies and features within Ontra’s software that help reduce contract turnaround time and drive efficiencies in the contract review and negotiation process • Directly engage with in-house legal teams at financial services companies and serve as their trusted legal advisor for their contract negotiations • Operate within Ontra’s software throughout the negotiating process, enabling clients to receive data-driven solutions for their document processing needs and remain informed every step of the way Skills • Active license and in good standing with your state Bar • Maintains or is willing to obtain professional indemnity insurance • Thorough understanding or experience drafting and negotiating sell-side NDAs • Experience working with Asset Management, Investment Banking, or other Financial Services clientele is a plus • Demonstrates a business-savvy and client-centric approach to legal work • Motivated to build a long-term relationship with Ontra • Possesses a willingness and aptitude to learn and evolve to new technologies and features within Ontra's software Company Overview • Ontra automates legal workflows with AI for contract and compliance management.
