They are seeking a Knowledge Governance Manager to operationalize and scale the organization’s Knowledge Management strategy across enterprise systems, ensuring knowledge assets are accurate and aligned with governance standards.


Responsibilities

  • Execute and maintain Knowledge Management policies, taxonomy, and tagging standards within enterprise systems
  • Establish accountability frameworks and partner with content owners to ensure governance guidelines are applied consistently
  • Align system-level configurations, permissions, and workflows with organizational KM standards and data governance practices
  • Begin by partnering with an initial group of content owners and system owners across key enterprise tools, serving as the primary liaison to ensure alignment and collaboration
  • Work closely with system owners to regularly review and maintain content accuracy, currency, and structure
  • Proactively identify gaps, overlaps, and redundancies across content repositories to improve enterprise-wide knowledge consistency
  • As organizational needs evolve, expand coordination efforts to additional systems and teams to support a unified knowledge ecosystem
  • Oversee the periodic review and validation of key content and documentation
  • Support content owners in applying KM best practices, including tagging, metadata, and archiving processes
  • Implement version control and deprecation routines to ensure content remains up-to-date and relevant
  • Partner with the AI and Enterprise Search teams to improve searchability, metadata accuracy, and tagging effectiveness
  • Analyze usage data and feedback to refine taxonomy, search filters, and knowledge presentation
  • Serve as a bridge between system content and enterprise search performance
  • Maintain and refine existing guidance, documentation, and training resources to ensure ongoing alignment with Knowledge Management standards and evolving system needs
  • Promote adoption of KM processes through workshops, onboarding sessions, and ongoing support
  • Contribute to building a culture of shared ownership and accountability for knowledge quality
  • Define, track, and report on knowledge quality metrics (e.g., content freshness, search success rate, taxonomy compliance) to measure adoption and effectiveness
  • Participate in the Knowledge Governance Committee to represent system-level insights and propose improvements
  • Recommend technology or process enhancements to increase knowledge alignment and accessibility

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business, Communications, Education, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Knowledge Management, Information Architecture, Content Operations, or related governance roles in a cross-functional environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating knowledge across multiple enterprise systems (e.g., CMS, LMS, Salesforce, Confluence)
  • Strong understanding of metadata, taxonomy, tagging, and content lifecycle management
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams and levels
  • Familiarity with AI-driven search tools and principles of data governance
  • Experience in educational technology, SaaS, or information-heavy organizations
