About the Role

As a Registered Veterinary Technician in our Adoption Center, you will be at the forefront of providing care to animals in need. Your daily responsibilities will include conducting routine exams, administering medications, and performing lab tests. You'll be instrumental in maintaining the health and well-being of animals, especially those that are sick or injured, following the guidance of our veterinarians.

In this role, your organizational skills and attention to detail will be crucial as you manage medical records, ensure timely treatments, and contribute to the smooth operation of our examination room. You'll need to be comfortable working in emotionally challenging settings, where your compassion and professionalism will help you thrive. We also ask that you're available to work on weekends, as our animals need care every day of the week.

What We're Looking For

  • Missouri Veterinary Technician License: RVT's at HSMO are required to hold a valid state license.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience handling animals is required.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • Skills: We value exceptional organizational skills, strong internal customer service abilities, and computer literacy.
