About the position

Registered Nurse – Part Time The desire to help people is in your bones: That’s why you are a nurse. The Walt Disney World Resort has a part time Registered Nurse position available. This part time position will be scheduled three 8-hour paid shifts per week (24 hours). Candidates MUST be prepared to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Shift hours will vary depending on business need but candidates should expect to work evening hours. To do their jobs well, nurses need to have physical strength and stamina, the ability to move around freely, and the ability to see, hear and communicate well with patients. Working conditions require standing for long periods of time. Frequent walking and lifting, squatting, pushing, pulling or carrying heavy objects throughout the shift. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Frequent bending, stretching or twisting of the body. Frequent use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. A nurse needs physical strength and ability to kneel/squat to complete emergency procedures such as CPR. In This Role, You Will (Position Responsibilities): As an experienced registered nurse, most of your responsibilities will be familiar to you – think vital signs, triage, treating illnesses, administering meds – as well as administrative tasks like collecting data. You will make sure the highest standards of quality and confidentiality are met at all times, and will be as precise with your documentation as you are with your hands-on patient work. Every day as a Registered Nurse at the Walt Disney World Resort is different. While the work is fast paced and ever changing, it all takes place right inside the Walt Disney World Resort. Requirements

  • Minimum. 3 years Registered Nurse Experience
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Current Florida RN license, current CPR Certification, and physical ability to perform all job tasks
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills – and deep desire to give the best possible care and patient service
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time to walk, lift, squat, push, pull and/or carry heavy objects, up to 25 lbs.
  • Excellent hearing and ability to see, and full use of hands for patient assessment and to control, handle or feel objects and tools
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs and ability to work with a laptop/desktop

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a fast-paced hospital, clinic, or similar environment
  • Deep knowledge of EMR or Health Management System
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Occupational Health Nursing experience
  • Proficiency in a language in addition to English
  • Master’s Degree and/or Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN/COHN-S)
