Role Definition:

Based at Penston, and reporting to the Technical Manager, the post holder will be accountable for ensuring product quality, authenticity, legality and food safety. Ensuring delivery of products to our customers is of the highest standards.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Completion of Quality, Legal & HACCP checks at the specified intervals ensuring that all procedures are followed consistently .

Recording of checks in a timely manner and reporting of non-conformances through the correct channel to ensure prompt action as required .

Inform Senior QA and Technical on Food Safety & Quality issues.

Collect samples for panels and micro testing as and when required and send to laboratory for testing .

Communicate to line management any deviation from Quality Standards as defined by the Company or its customers.

Carry out hygiene assessments, GMP & Fabrication audits at specified intervals and track close out to issues raised .

Ensure finished product is controlled as per the company procedures and visual standards are used to compare product quality. All out of specification product is highlighted to production and your line manager .

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Qualities:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a background within a busy production environment. The candidate will enjoy challenging, problem-solving roles and be ideally suited to a fast-paced environment. The candidate should have good interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task.

Food Safety level 2/3

HACCP Level 2
