UNT Health Police Department- Fort Worth

Position Overview

Under the direction of the Police Sergeant, this position provides a wide variety of services to the UNT Health Community. This position is service-oriented and non-combative and does not act as a law enforcement officer. Provides general support to the Police Department and is expected to report any situation requiring a police response.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and 2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Duties

  • Escort students, staff, and visitors, as requested to vehicles, buildings, and/or other locations on campus. 
  • Reports discrepancies on campus, parking violations, traffic infractions, education code violations. 
  • Assists with vehicle jumpstarts. 
  • Reports theft, vandalism, unsafe acts, accidents, disturbances, and property damage to Campus Police. 

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.

Environmental Hazards

  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.
