<p> Public Relations Assistant Account Executive – Health PR<br /> This Public Relations Assistant Account Executive role is based in our NYC office. Weekly work schedule is up to 3 weekdays in-office and balance of weekdays working from home remotely. Qualified current metro-NYC area public relations applicants are preferred for this role.<br /> We are seeking applicants interested in joining our health communications practice, supporting clients across the pharmaceutical, MedTech, health advocacy, and broader healthcare ecosystem. Ideal candidates will have prior public relations agency–based internship experience, preferably working on communications campaigns for health clients, though experience in other regulated or complex industries is also valued. Applicants must hold a college degree in Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism, demonstrate strong writing and storytelling skills, and be available for immediate hire. This is a full-time, hourly position (approximately 40 hours per week). This is not an internship role and is not a sales position.<br /> This full-time, direct-hire position has terrific benefits and perks:<br /> • Generous vacation, personal, holiday, and sick days off, plus up to 5 Winter Break paid days off between Christmas and New Year's Day, plus up to 5 additional Summer Days Off.<br /> • Travel and consumer discounts (from rental cars to cell phones and more)<br /> • Wellness subsidy<br /> • 401K Plan<br /> • Outstanding insurance/benefits package<br /> • Career mentorship from the best PR pros in the business<br /> • Professional growth opportunities within our award-winning global PR agency<br /> •<br /> Now that we've (hopefully) sold you on us, let's talk about this role and our team:<br /> <br /> Responsibilities:<br /> • Assist in writing and distributing pitch letters, news releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, bios, newsletters, and other health communications materials.<br /> • Support patient ambassador programs, including coordination, communications, and logistical support, in compliance with regulatory and legal guidelines.<br /> • Develop relationships with external audiences, including media, patient ambassadors, advocacy organizations, and third-party stakeholders, to support client messaging.<br /> • Compile comprehensive, targeted media lists, actively pitch media and secure earned media coverage.<br /> • Write, proofread , and edit client-related documents including pitches, press materials, news releases, and other editorial content.<br /> • Support client media briefings, events, speaking opportunities and develop award submissions.<br /> • Monitor, track and report earned, owned and social media coverage of client news and competitor developments.<br /> • Efficiently research industry or program-relevant topics.<br /> • Participate in client meetings; develop agendas; manage trackers; and draft meeting reports.<br /> Requirements:<br /> • Bachelor's degree in communications, PR, journalism or related field<br /> • Passion for public relations with a specific focus on financial services clients (both financial services B2B and financial services B2C).<br /> • A self-starter with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.<br /> • Strong verbal and writing skills.<br /> • Prior work experience or PR internships in public relations role (PR agency-based client-based experience is strongly preferred).<br /> • Familiarity with public relations/communications programs as evidenced through completed college coursework, internships, or related work experience.<br /> • Experience with research and measurement tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater) is a plus.<br /> •<br /> Anticipated Salary: $24.00/hour to $25.00/hour for this full-time, non-exempt, direct hire position.
