The CNS will provide evidence-based psychiatric evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and manage the care of patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, providing psychotherapy, offering psychoeducation, and prescribing medications as appropriate. The role also involves monitoring patient progress, collaborating with families and caregivers, and maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Expertise in psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapy, and treatment planning</li><li>Experience with pharmacological management, including prescribing and monitoring medication for mental health conditions</li><li>Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams</li><li>Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with specialization as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatry or Mental Health</li><li>Current CNS licensure and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification in the state of Maryland</li><li>Knowledge of evidence-based practice approaches in adult or child and adolescent mental health care</li><li>Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and maintaining thorough documentation</li><li>Additional training in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, or experience in community mental health settings is advantageous</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in <strong>child and adolescent psychiatry</strong> or <strong>adult mental health</strong></li><li>Training in evidence-based therapies such as:</li><li>Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)</li><li>Trauma-informed care</li><li>Family therapy</li></ul><p><br></p>
