Job Description: The Epiq Contracts Solutions practice is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead CLM implementations, consulting and strategy projects within our Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) practice. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end project management activities for CLM engagements, including current-state assessments, designing future-state processes, vendor selections, and implementations. As a subject matter expert in CLM, you will support all aspects of the implementation lifecycle, ensuring strategic alignment and successful outcomes for our clients. Additionally, you will act as a thought leader in CLM AI (GenAI) to contribute to our service offerings roadmap and the development of the CLM practice. Essential Job Responsibilities Project Leadership & Management Lead project management for CLM engagements, from initial scoping and planning through execution and post-implementation review. Oversee timelines, resource allocation, risk management, and deliverables to ensure project milestones are met. Serve as the primary client point of contact, managing communications, expectations, and relationship building to foster long-term client partnerships. Implementation Leadership & CLM Expertise Serve as the CLM subject matter expert, advising clients on implementation strategy, configuration, testing, and user adoption. Support functional design workshops, facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), and manage issue resolution. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the implementation meets the defined requirements and aligns with best practices. Current-State Assessment & To-Be Process Design Conduct comprehensive current-state assessments of clients’ contract management processes, identifying inefficiencies, compliance risks, and areas for improvement. Develop tailored future-state process designs, mapping to industry best practices and aligning with the client’s strategic objectives. Define a roadmap for successful implementation, including a clear transition strategy from the current to the desired future state. CLM Vendor Selection Lead the vendor selection process by defining requirements, facilitating demos, and evaluating vendors’ fit against client-specific needs. Develop and deliver selection scorecards, assist in decision analysis, and guide clients in selecting the CLM platform that best meets their functional and technical requirements. Thought Leadership in CLM AI & GenAI Contribute to the development of our CLM AI (GenAI) services roadmap, defining strategies for integrating AI to enhance contract automation, compliance, and risk management. Act as a thought leader within the CLM practice by identifying emerging trends, sharing insights on AI/GenAI in CLM, and contributing to white papers, webinars, and industry events. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine AI-powered offerings that align with the evolving needs of our clients. Practice Development & Team Mentorship Support the growth of the CLM practice by contributing to methodology, tools, and frameworks. Mentor junior consultants, providing guidance and expertise to develop their CLM knowledge and consulting skills. Engage in continuous learning and stay updated on industry advancements in CLM, AI, and technology trends. Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in CLM consulting, legal operations, or a similar role, with a proven track record in CLM project leadership. Deep expertise in CLM platforms (e.g., Agiloft, Icertis, Conga, Malbek, ContractPodAi) and contract management processes. Project Management & Technical Skills Strong project management skills with experience managing large-scale, complex CLM projects from start to finish. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and experience with GenAI capabilities within CLM platforms. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) and CLM solutions. Analytical & Strategic Thinking Ability to assess and map current processes, identify gaps, and design scalable, future-ready CLM solutions. Analytical mindset with a knack for translating strategic goals into tactical project plans. Communication & Leadership Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong leadership and client relationship management skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional value.
