The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring from start to finish - the scoping and then the delivery of complex projects on time and according to the negotiated Scope of Work. The Program Manager's is expected to manage a virtual team comprising; Customer Contacts, Fortinet Sales, Professional Services and Technical Support to ensure a technically sound, financially profitable, supportable implementation. The position requires an individual with exceptional negotiation, written and verbal communication skills who follows a structured approach for implementing IT security solutions.

The Program Manager should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Build strategic relationships to understand the needs and requirements of the customer's project.
  • Manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders Develops, negotiates and builds a Scope of Work, WBS and project schedules to match the needs of the project.
  • Identify resources needed and work with resource manager to build the right project team for the project.
  • Work closely with all customer-facing Fortinet functions, including sales, operations, order management, support to coordinate activities.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
  • Reports and escalates to management as needed.
  • Manage escalations with all levels internally and externally to achieve success.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Create and maintains comprehensive project documentation.
  • Apply effectively Fortinet's methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Perform risk management to minimizes Fortinet's exposure and risk on projects.
  • Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.
  • Forecast accurately revenue and monitor project profitability.
  • Assure project legal documents are completed and signed at start of the project.
  • Facilitate team and client meetings effectively.
  • Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

Job Requirements

  • Around 10 to 15 years in similar position.
  • Technical understanding of security and networking projects.
  • Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Outstanding negotiation, oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with global enterprise, MSSP, carrier and governmental customers.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • React to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Flexible during times of change.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.

  • Strong commitment and self-driven individual.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical or management discipline and/or equivalent extensive work-related experience.
  • PMP and/or PRINCE II certification
