We’re looking for a Principal Data Product Manager to define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise data governance and master data management (MDM). This person will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, data platform teams, and compliance functions to ensure that our data is trustworthy, well-managed, and accessible for analytics, operations, and AI initiatives across the organization. What You'll Do: • Define the long-term product vision and roadmap for data governance and MDM capabilities, aligning with enterprise data strategy and business outcomes • Translate business, regulatory, and technical needs into clear product requirements for governance services, including metadata management, data lineage, data catalogs, data quality monitoring, and access policies • Partner with data engineering teams to design and implement scalable governance frameworks and MDM solutions that support self-service analytics and compliance • Lead the development of master data models and entity domains (e.g., customer, account, product, location) in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders • Establish and track success metrics for data quality, stewardship effectiveness, metadata completeness, and adoption of governed data domains • Champion data ownership models, stewardship frameworks, and governance policies consistent with DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, or data mesh principles • Collaborate with Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to privacy regulations, data retention policies, and access control standards • Influence enterprise data strategy by promoting a culture of data accountability and enabling governed, reusable data products across business units • Communicate complex governance concepts to executive audiences using clear, value-oriented storytelling and ROI-driven narratives • Drive adoption of governance and MDM platforms through user training, documentation, and change management initiatives What You Have: • 8-10+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on data governance, data platforms, or master data management • Demonstrated success delivering cross-functional data initiatives that improved business outcomes, data quality, and regulatory compliance • Familiarity with modern data stack architectures, including cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery), transformation tools (dbt), and orchestration frameworks • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority and align diverse teams around a unified vision • Experience defining and tracking product KPIs and using data to inform prioritization and roadmap decisions • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred) • A passion for building scalable, user-friendly data products that empower decision-making and foster trust in data across the organization • B2B experience is a plus Nice To Have: • Deep understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM) and MDM best practices, including golden record management and data stewardship models • Hands-on experience with MDM technologies (e.g., Reltio, Informatica MDM, Semarchy, Profisee) and data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Atlan, Ataccama) The national cash compensation range for this role is $200,000 - $260,000* • Please note: Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise and region & may vary from the amount above.
