Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings. In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, and manage patient health needs, providing comprehensive medical services with a focus on improving outcomes and enhancing quality of life. Your expertise will support a wide range of patient populations, including those in acute care, primary care, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and specialized fields such as gastroenterology and esthetic medicine. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs measurement, and detailed medical histories.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in accordance with best practices and current clinical guidelines.
  • Administer medications and injections, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments for aesthetic or therapeutic purposes.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, phlebotomy, and sonography to aid in accurate diagnosis.
  • Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, or trauma at Level I or Level II trauma centers.
  • Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and post-acute care to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care across outpatient settings and support patients remotely.
  • Assist with medical documentation including CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD-10/ICD-9 classifications for billing purposes.
  • Engage in clinical research projects or quality improvement initiatives to advance evidence-based practices within the organization.

Skills

  • Proven experience working with diverse patient populations across settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, or home care environments.
  • Strong proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth; familiarity with telehealth platforms is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), and medical terminology relevant to primary and acute care.
  • Skilled in performing advanced procedures including dermal fillers, spinal taps, ventilator management, gastrostomy tube feeding, and sterile processing techniques.
  • Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to triage effectively in urgent or emergency situations such as ICU or emergency room experiences.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating seamlessly within multidisciplinary teams focused on senior care, pediatric health (including neonatal ventilators), or behavioral health services.
  • Familiarity with Workers' Compensation law and utilization management processes for occupational health cases.
  • Competence in CPT coding for billing procedures related to esthetic laser treatments, catheterization, wound suturing, or diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a commitment to patient-centered care; capable of working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
