## About This Role Salesforce is looking for a Deployment Strategist to join our elite Public Sector team and take on a pivotal leadership role driving the successful adoption and strategic implementation of Salesforce solutions for mission-critical work across the U.S. Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, Aerospace & Allied Nations. This is less about hands-on technical execution and more about solutioning, strategic oversight, and executive relationship management. You'll work directly with mission owners to help define and steer their Salesforce strategy and roadmap, bridging their strategic needs with our cutting-edge capabilities across AI, enterprise business systems, analytics, and logistics. As a Missionforce Deployment Strategist, you'll be a trusted advisor and the primary front-facing contact for some of our most strategic national security and allied defense programs. You'll deeply understand our customers' most complex business problems, facilitating workshops like agent design and jobs-to-be-done analysis to craft innovative and impactful solutions that leverage our Salesforce platform. You'll be instrumental in addressing organizational readiness for AI adoption, guiding customers through the necessary changes to maximize their investment. ## What You'll Be Doing You'll lead the analysis and strategic design of Salesforce solutions for our U.S. Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, Aerospace & Allied Nations customers, leveraging Data Cloud, Flows, and Salesforce APIs. This means synthesizing complex business challenges into clear, actionable solution architectures and strategic deployment plans that focus on business impact rather than technical execution. Deployment ownership falls squarely on your shoulders—you'll provide comprehensive oversight for successful Salesforce deployments, ensuring seamless integration with existing customer infrastructure. You'll monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and strategically guide optimization for long-term reliability, scalability, and security, including establishing and governing agent behavior guardrails. You'll serve as the primary front-facing contact for Salesforce deployments, building and nurturing strong, trust-based relationships with high-level government personnel and key customer stakeholders. Think of yourself as a strategic partner who deeply understands their operational challenges and strategic goals, presenting proposals that drive measurable value and adoption. This work improves efficiency, mission-readiness, and trust—helping the U.S. and allied governments deploy technology that delivers faster response times, better personnel utilization, and more effective logistics and asset management. Facilitation and workshop leadership is another core piece. You'll design and lead interactive sessions—agent design workshops, jobs-to-be-done analysis—to collaboratively define optimal AI solutions and drive alignment across customer teams. You'll embed deeply with client teams in classified and unclassified environments to truly grasp their operational challenges and strategic goals, acting as a primary technical advisor. Conversation design skills matter here too. You'll apply foundational knowledge to guide the creation of intuitive, effective, and user-centric conversational AI experiences. You'll assess customer organizational readiness for AI adoption and guide them through necessary process transformations and reengineering to maximize the benefits of intelligent agents. You'll also serve as a vital feedback loop between customers and our internal product and engineering teams. Field observations will directly influence future product enhancements, help shape the strategic direction of our platform, and contribute to broader scalable product improvements. Leading discussions around AI strategy and roadmapping for customers, you'll drive the adoption of foundational Responsible AI principles, including risk mitigation, bias and toxicity testing, and the setup of robust guardrails to ensure ethical and safe AI usage. ## What We're Looking For You'll need at least 5+ years of experience in strategic solutioning and oversight of cloud-based technology deployments, with a proven track record of leading successful, impactful enterprise-level projects. A solid understanding of the Salesforce platform and ecosystem is essential. Your background should include experience leading and overseeing deployments of AI/LLM technologies, including end-to-end engagement management. You're exceptional at confronting open-ended problems in unstructured, ambiguous environments, demonstrating a curious, analytical, and solution-oriented approach. You've got an entrepreneurial spirit and a "get-things-done" attitude with a relentless focus on fast delivery and measurable customer impact. Excellent collaboration and communication skills—both written and verbal—are non-negotiable. You can explain complex strategic and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and C-suite executives, and you're skilled at translating business needs into strategic requirements. Proven experience managing executive customer relationships in a strategic advisory or consulting role is required. Demonstrated AI consulting abilities from experience in conversation design, responsible AI practices, and prompt engineering are important. You must have experience working in or adjacent to secure environments. Ability to travel 25-50% of the time, as needed to customer sites, is necessary. ## Critical Requirements You must be a U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) living on U.S. soil who does not hold dual citizenship with the ability to meet customer and government screening standards applicable to this role. **Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.** Qualification for this job is contingent upon acceptable results from a background investigation as well as your having and maintaining the specific level of U.S. government background investigation and clearance required for this role. You must complete a U.S. federal government Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position. ## Preferred Background Experience supporting U.S. Department of Defense (Do. D), Intelligence Community (IC), or Federal Civilian agencies is a plus. A background in defense/aerospace industries or operational military/logistics experience is valuable. Familiarity with IL5/IL6/CNSS #1253 requirements or deployment to classified environments helps. Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and/or Agentforce platform, experience developing conversational AI solutions within regulated industries or highly sensitive environments (healthcare, finance), Salesforce platform certifications (Administrator, Data Cloud Consultant, Agentforce Specialist), knowledge across Salesforce CRM (Service, Sales, and Marketing Clouds), and experience with AI/ML concepts beyond LLMs such as natural language processing would all strengthen your candidacy. ## Compensation and Benefits The typical base salary range for this position is $148,500 - $365,200 annually.
