Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage systems across various commercial and residential sites. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of security, fire alarm, surveillance, and telecommunication systems, helping clients feel secure and protected.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and service low voltage systems including CCTV, access control, fire alarms, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and security systems.
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately complete installations and repairs.
  • Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of electrical components, cabling, sensors, and system hardware to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to perform system upgrades or repairs on-site.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, system configurations, and service reports for client records.
  • Assist with system design modifications to enhance security measures or accommodate new technology integrations.
  • Support remote access software setup and configuration for client monitoring and management.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in low voltage systems such as CCTV, security alarms, fire alarms, or telecommunication networks.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to cabling, schematics interpretation, and system troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with computer networking principles essential for remote access setup and system integration.
  • Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, and construction environments is highly desirable.
