Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Coordinator to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the movement of freight, coordinating schedules, and ensuring efficient and timely delivery of shipments. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can balance multiple priorities while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily freight shipments, including scheduling pickups and deliveries.
  • Communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers to ensure on-time performance.
  • Track and monitor shipments to proactively address delays or issues.
  • Prepare and maintain transportation documentation (BOLs, PODs, invoices, etc.).
  • Negotiate with carriers and build strong relationships with vendors and partners.
  • Optimize routes and loads to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Handle customer inquiries, provide shipment updates, and resolve service issues.
  • Maintain accurate records in TMS (Transportation Management System).
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Support the operations team with reporting, analysis, and continuous process improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in logistics, dispatch, or transportation operations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of freight, shipping methods, and industry regulations.
  • Experience with Produce transportation
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software/TMS.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
