Scopely is looking for a Lead Game Designer to join our Monopoly GO! game team remotely within the US! The team is based in Europe and the US, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players. What You Will Do • Own product features end-to-end - from early concept through release, live operations, and post-launch optimization. • Drive the creation of new multiplayer social and/or solo minigames that expand player engagement and enrich the overall gameplay experience. • Translate high-level product and franchise objectives into detailed, player-centric feature designs, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams. • Create and maintain clear, comprehensive game and feature specifications, partnering closely with design to ensure documentation is complete, consistent, and actionable. • Collaborate with design and UX, guiding the direction of designs and ensuring they reflect player needs, franchise goals, and business priorities (without directly managing designers day-to-day). • Work deeply cross-functionally with designers, artists, engineers, analysts, and producers to build high-quality features that meet both product and technical requirements. • Provide ongoing feedback and implementation support, ensuring features progress smoothly through development and match the intended vision. • Stay on top of market, genre, and competitive trends to shape an innovative, data-informed roadmap. • Demonstrate strong leadership, influencing team direction, driving alignment, and elevating the quality of execution-beyond just generating ideas. • Potentially mentor or partner closely with designers, with room to grow into management responsibilities over time. What We're Looking For (this is copied from the Lead PM role) • Passion for F2P Mobile Games: Enthusiastic about working on sophisticated F2P ecosystems, handling diverse player life cycles and spending behaviors • Experience & Qualifications: 5+ years in F2P mobile casual games • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills; able to explain the "why" to align the team with the product vision; ability to thrive in global team environment • Project Management: Skilled at prioritizing high-impact initiatives, understanding trade-offs, anticipating risks, managing expectations, and ensuring quality deliverables • Feature Ownership: Exemplified experience in leading indirect reports toward shared goals • Design Expertise: Ability to build experiences that encourage positive player behavior, especially on features without comparables in the market • Quantitative Skills: Intermediate statistics; able to assess when and how to use data, translate product issues into analytics tasks, set hypotheses, interpret data optimally, and visualize it in Excel • Critical, Analytical, and Creative Thinking: Outcome-driven with a strong focus on execution and an ambitious mentality • Proven experience in building and supporting social gameplay mechanics Please ensure that the résumé/CV you attach is written in English.
