KS1 Primary Teacher – Lambeth – September Start

A dynamic and inclusive Inner London primary school in Lambeth is seeking a motivated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join its team from September. This is a full-time, permanent role open to Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers looking to develop their practice and take on additional responsibilities in both core and foundation subjects.

The school is particularly interested in candidates who are passionate about English writing and Maths and ideally have experience supporting students with ASD or ADHD. The ideal teacher will also be confident in engaging with parents and handling challenging situations professionally.

The Role

As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that support all pupils in achieving strong academic outcomes. This role also offers opportunities to take on additional responsibilities for core and foundation subjects, providing professional development and leadership experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Key Stage 1 lessons

  • Promoting excellence in English writing and Mathematics

  • Supporting students with additional learning needs, including ASD and ADHD

  • Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs

  • Confidently engaging with parents and maintaining professional communication

  • Contributing to the development of foundation subjects and wider curriculum initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Has experience teaching or training within Key Stage 1

  • Is enthusiastic, resilient, and committed to raising standards
