Role Overview:

We’re looking for a creative, curious and detail driven Junior Digital Designer who’s excited by the idea of shaping the digital experience for millions of F1 fans. In this role, you’ll work at the heart of F1’s digital ecosystem, contributing to the UI and visual quality of our key fan products, including F1.com, F1 TV and the F1 App. Reporting into our Senior Digital Designer, this is a rare opportunity to build real product experience, strengthen your technical skillset, and contribute to a design system that supports one of the fastest growing sports on the planet.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Core Design Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain high-quality UI designs across F1’s web and mobile platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Produce, refine and version digital assets using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Support ongoing updates within the F1 design system.
  • Prepare structured, developer-ready design files with clear specifications.
  • Apply feedback efficiently and iterate with strong attention to detail.
  • Apply basic accessibility standards and inclusive design principles across all UI work.

User Understanding & Research

  • Support lightweight user research activities including surveys and feedback analysis.
  • Help translate research insights and data into actionable design improvements.
  • Demonstrate structured thinking when approaching design problems

Cross-team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Architects, Delivery Managers and Operations teams.
  • Work closely with Senior Designers and Developers throughout design-to-build workflows.
  • Participate actively in design reviews, critiques and implementation discussions.
  • Develop confidence in communicating design decisions.

Delivery & workflow

  • Manage small design tasks independently while contributing to larger initiatives.
  • Ensure quality, consistency and brand alignment across all deliverables.
  • Contribute to improving design processes, documentation and team efficiency.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by reviewing builds for visual/UI accuracy and raising defects where required.
  • Stay up to date with design tools, trends and F1 brand developments.

Experience

Prior to the role it would be essential that you:

  • Proven professional experience in a creative or digital environment
  • Hands-on experience using Figma
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience contributing to real web or mobile product design
  • Exposure to working with or contributing to a design system

Some desirable experience that you may bring to the role:

  • Basic understanding of how frontend and backend technologies translate design into build
  • Experience reviewing user feedback and contributing to improvements
  • Basic motion or interaction design skills
  • Understanding of responsive layout principles
  • Exposure to UAT or visual QA processes
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Trello or Asana

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong practical ability in Figma
  • Proficient working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Understanding of UI principles and screenbased design
  • Understanding of responsive behaviour
  • Awareness of basic accessibility requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media or related field
