About the Role

We are seeking a Junior AI / Data Analyst to join a dynamic digital solutions team. This is an early-career role designed for candidates with 6 months to 4 years of experience or those with a PhD in a relevant field. You will contribute to data collection, preparation, analysis, and early-stage machine learning model development, helping transform raw data into actionable insights and supporting AI adoption across multiple projects.

This is a hands-on, learning-focused role with opportunities to work on AI, machine learning, IoT, and data-driven digital initiatives within a collaborative, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and preprocess data from multiple sources, ensuring quality and reproducibility.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Support early-stage machine learning experiments, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
  • Assist in research and assessment of AI tools and technologies for defined use cases.
  • Create clear data visualisations, dashboards, and reports to communicate insights effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to project documentation and governance.
  • Support responsible AI practices and adherence to data quality and governance standards.
  • Learn from feedback, code reviews, and project retrospectives to build practical AI and data science skills.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Basic experience in data analysis and manipulation using Python (pandas, NumPy) or similar.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, matplotlib, seaborn, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts (supervised vs unsupervised learning).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate findings clearly.
  • Highly organised, methodical, and able to manage multiple tasks.
Desirable
  • Practical experience implementing AI or ML solutions.
  • Exposure to time series, image, or tabular data.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Interest in AI governance, ethics, and responsible AI practices.
