About This Role

This is a full-time 12-month regular Investigator position. Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience in investigations, conduct processes, or preparing analytical written reports or documentation. Education beyond the minimum degree requirement may count toward required experience if deemed relevant by the hiring manager. The degree requirement ensures candidates possess the legal, analytical and communication skills essential for investigating and resolving discrimination and harassment claims. These competencies are typically developed and validated only through the comprehensive curriculum and experiential learning inherent in a formal degree program.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred in student affairs, higher education administration, social work,
    psychology, criminal justice, or related area
  • Preferred knowledge base: Title IX, Clery Act, VAWA, FERPA, Affirmative action, equal employment opportunity, the
    Americans with Disabilities Act, other applicable civil rights and employment laws, regulations and court decisions
  • Knowledge of Title IX, trends, legal obligations, and initiatives nationally and locally
  • Principles of conducting investigations, including interview methods and techniques
  • Principles of cultural competence
  • Research methods and data analysis techniques
  • Four years of experience in the development and delivery of anti-discrimination training
    programs
  • EEO/Title IX investigation training
  • Demonstrated excellence in written communication

Additional Role Information:

  • Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at times presentation on evenings and weekends
