<div><p><b>About The Role</b></p><p>We are recruiting for a People Partner to support the London and South Region. The role is field-based and will require travel across the region 3–4 days per week. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.</em></p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Act as business partner to the Head of Region to deliver a proactive, commercial and value-added HR service to the region.</li><li>Develop and drive the People strategy for the region in partnership with the Head of Region and implement the national Retail People plan.</li><li>Responsible for improving key performance indicators such as labour turnover, performance management, absence levels, stability, headcount and succession.</li><li>Support and coach the Area Manager teams to engage and inspire their store management teams to deliver excellent service and standards.</li><li>Embed a culture of driving talent and succession as a regional strategy to balance internal and external needs.</li><li>Effective implementation of people change projects.</li><li>Identify and implement People process improvements that will drive cost and time savings.</li><li>Ensure there is a live succession plan for the region and build and implement effective recruitment plans that drive internal promotion.</li><li>Build a culture of robust performance management to drive performance and behaviours.</li><li>Act as a point of escalation to oversee and advise on complex ER cases, particularly involving termination through misconduct, performance or ill-health and support early conciliation and ET case management, working with the ER team and external provider and attend hearings where required.</li><li>Manage a robust cost control rhythm and routine with the Head of Region to drive effective control of management headcount, budgets and leavers.</li><li>Oversee and check key areas of legal compliance in retail, e.g. GDPR, Working Time Directive, NMW, right to work activity, and People changes and principles to ensure accuracy and compliance.</li><li>Develop a culture of engagement in the region, landing business initiatives and building a regional plan.</li><li>Drive Apprenticeships in the region, linking with internal development programmes and succession plans.</li><li>Provide timely coaching and support to colleagues on an internal or external development programme.</li></ul><h2>Skills And Knowledge</h2><ul><li>Previous experience in HR Business Partner within a fast-paced and multi-sited environment.
