The Fresno County Administrative Office invites applications for the position of Housing and Homelessness Division Manager. The incumbent is responsible for planning, directing, and managing operations of the Office of Housing and Homelessness (OHH) within the County Administrative Office. The incumbent develops, implements, and evaluates OHH goals, functions, policies, and procedures in consultation with the County Administrative Officer or designee, and provides oversight of programs, contracts, and funding related to housing and homelessness initiatives.

Experience with large, complex government agencies is highly desirable.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree that is acceptable within the United States’ accredited college or university system.

Experience: Four (4) years of full-time, paid work experience developing and implementing homelessness programs, one (1) year of which must have been in a lead or supervisory capacity.

License: Possession of a valid Class “C” driver’s license, or equivalent.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Pursuant to Fresno County Personnel Rule 4 - Selection Process, applicants may be required to complete an examination process and successful candidates will be placed on an employment list effective for a minimum of 3 months and certified in final rank order as vacancies occur.

  • Individuals selected for extra-help appointment may be transitioned to a permanently allocated position at a later date as authorized by the Fresno County Personnel Rules.
