Your Task

  • Operates an electric forklift with hydraulic controlled clamps (forks) which transports goods and materials about the plant and lifts and restacks rolls of paper.
  • Unloads box cards of roll paper and moves rolls to warehouse location for storage. May load box car with material.
  • Obtains roll paper (printed or plain) as directed by using activity.
  • May assist loading or unloading trucks.
  • Keeps equipment in good working order. Inspects equipment daily. May perform first line preventative maintenance on truck. Keeps maintenance check list current and reports deficiencies immediately to the vehicle maintenance department.
  • Performs various housekeeping duties in work areas – especially removal of loos paper accumulated and metal straps or bands.
  • Stores roll paper in accordance to instructions and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable on safety aspects of driving or use of Fork Lift. Knowledge of safe weight and diameter capacities.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Profile:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Must be dependable and able to work a rotating Midnight, Afternoon, and Day shift (MAD)
  • Sits in vehicle seat for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. by hand
  • Ability to use a scanner and other hand tools
  • Must be physically and mentally active and alert
  • 0-2 years manufacturing experience; mechanical and industrial skills helpful
