Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Job Summary Coordinates and performs finishing, including painting, staining, sheetrock, plaster, and metal work. Installs/repairs flooring/wall coverings. Works independently with minimal supervision. Essential Functions All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference Repairs damaged walls and uses the appropriate paints to match areas and meet quality standards Inspects work of outside contractors for quality of work, both ongoing and completed, and reports status to assigned supervisor. Attends construction meetings on major jobs or renovations as needed. Inspects on-going construction/renovations reports findings to Facilities/Planning and supervisor. Orders material for finishing and cabinetry. Restores furniture and fabricates with glass and plastic. Schedules and assigns work to be done in conjunction with assigned supervisor. Estimates and orders all materials needed to complete jobs. May perform any or all of the following: cut stencils and stencil surfaces with lettering or decorations; paint signs on such surfaces as cloth, bulletin boards, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. Minimum Requirements Education - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred Experience - Two (2) years minimum experience with interior and wall finishing materials. Wall covering, flooring material, drywall installation, and painting experience preferred. Hospital experience preferred.
