Job Summary:

Technical specialist and primary customer support contact to diagnose and execute complex repairs to generators and components at the customer’s site.

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in (Avondale, AZ).

We offer up to $9000 sign on bonus, relocation, competitive pay and benefits!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Completing repair activities on generators or components

  • Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner

  • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

  • Maintain detailed records of service

  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

  • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

  • Maintain own tools

Qualifications

DOT

  • A current valid license is required for this role

  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations

  • This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical

  • 3 years driving experience

  • This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use

-Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age

Compensation and Benefits Base

Salary rate commensurate with experience. Responsibilities

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.

  • High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.

  • Advanced experience with electrical repair and maintenance

  • Proficient Diesel Engine experience.

  • Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.

  • Setup, troubleshoot and repair basic paralleling generator systems.

  • Understanding switchgear schematics.

  • Ability to train Entry/Intermediate Technicians/Mechanics.
