Job Description:

  • Provide proactive and reactive technical support for audio-visual and unified communications systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Deliver small integration and installation projects to specification, on time and within budget, maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Support the commissioning and handover of larger projects, ensuring smooth transition into service operations.
  • Work safely and efficiently on customer sites, adhering to company health, safety, and quality procedures.
  • Liaise with Project Engineers, Project Managers and the Global Service Desk to coordinate site activities, resolve issues, and ensure seamless communication with clients and contractors.
  • Maintain accurate service and installation records, ensuring timely completion of electronic reports and job documentation.
  • Provide onsite cover when required to ensure consistent service delivery and support across client sites.
  • Set up, operate and support AV systems for live events, conferences, and presentations as required.
  • Conduct or support system training for clients and colleagues, promoting best practices in system use and maintenance.
  • Calibrate and maintain test equipment, ensuring readiness and compliance.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for service improvements or project work through close collaboration with account and operations teams.
  • Support colleagues during peak demand or absence periods, maintaining a flexible and professional approach.
  • Comply with all information security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Other duties as required or assigned by company management

Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge of audio-visual and unified communications systems, including AV/UC hardware, software, networking, and control solutions.
  • Skilled in installation and service, including 1st/2nd fix wiring, termination, soldering, mechanical assembly, system configuration, and interpreting technical documentation.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work on time, within budget, and to operational standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to diagnose faults and implement solutions efficiently.
  • Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Effective communicator with a customer-focused approach, able to maintain professional relationships at all levels.
  • Collaborative and independent, able to take initiative and adapt to changing tasks, site conditions, or project priorities.
  • Committed to mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices.
  • Physically capable of safely handling and installing AV equipment, following manual handling and safety guidelines.
  • Professional, reliable, flexible, and willing to travel across the UK, Europe, and occasionally worldwide, including outside normal hours.
  • Competent with case management, reporting, and diagnostic tools.
  • Committed to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with emerging AV/UC technologies.
  • Able to safely handle and position AV equipment as required for installation and service tasks, following manual handling and safety guidelines.
  • Full UK driving license is a must.
