Position Overview

Accountable Home Buyers Inc., a residential real estate investment and renovation company, is seeking a reliable Field Runner / Project Errand Coordinator to assist with on-site property visits and local errands throughout the southwest suburbs of Chicago.

This role primarily involves visiting residential properties, documenting progress with photos and videos, running paperwork to local municipalities, and assisting with small project-related errands. The position requires someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently in the field.

Primary Coverage Area

Work will primarily take place in the following southwest suburban areas:

  • Sauk Village
  • Chicago Heights
  • Richton Park
  • Calumet City
  • Lansing
  • Dolton
  • Maywood
  • Country Club Hills
  • Hazel Crest
  • Matteson
  • Homewood
  • Flossmoor

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit residential properties that are pre-construction, under construction, or recently completed
  • Take clear photos and short videos documenting property conditions and construction progress
  • Upload photos to company systems from your phone
  • Drop off and pick up permits, paperwork, or documents from local village halls or building departments
  • Check on contractors or construction progress when requested
  • Assist with basic errands such as small material returns or document deliveries
  • Provide brief updates from each stop daily

Most days involve approximately 6-8 stops per day.

Pay Structure

Compensation is per stop, not hourly.

  • Standard Stop (up to 1 hour): $22
  • Extended Stop (1–2 hours): $38
  • Large Stop (3–4 hours): $55

Typical day: ~6 stops per day

  • Daily earnings typically range from $132–$176+
  • Workdays not to exceed 8 hours

Important:

  • This is a 1099 / W-9 independent contractor position
  • Drive time is not paid
  • Gas, vehicle, and mileage are not reimbursed

Requirements

  • Reliable vehicle required
  • iPhone 14 or newer (or similar quality smartphone) capable of high-quality photos and video
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel throughout the southwest suburbs daily
  • Organized, dependable, and able to work independently
  • Comfortable navigating neighborhoods and municipal buildings
  • Basic understanding of construction is helpful but not required
