Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish presentation.
  • Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination.
  • Support catering events by preparing meals, setting up serving stations, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations to promote a safe working environment.
  • Serve food efficiently to customers or guests, ensuring excellent service and presentation.
  • Manage food inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
  • ServSafe Certified Current or must obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Demonstrated expertise in food handling, preparation, and cooking techniques within a restaurant or food industry setting.
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation across various cuisines.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices.
  • Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team under pressure.
