As a Customer Service Representative - APPRAISER at arenaflex, you will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Representative - APPRAISER at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include: * Providing clear and accurate information and assistance to internal and external customers regarding all aspects of arenaflex's appraisal processes, procedures, and data * Projecting a positive and professional image of arenaflex to all customers through various modes of communication * Responding factually and efficiently to the needs of customers, while ensuring accurate and efficient processing of appraisal-related tasks * Assisting property owners and/or their representatives with preparation of information for the appeals process * Working with departments/divisions to reconcile any changes, questions, inequities, and production needs * Researching and preparing Change Orders for Personal Property Accounts and Real Estate Accounts * Assisting with research of property valuation history and navigation of the Appraiser's Office website * Processing tax exemptions and grievances, including entering and updating exemption application information into the Exemption Database * Preparing exemption applications for field inspection and processing BOTA Orders * Making necessary changes in Orion and Aumentum System, reducing or removing penalties based on PVD directives and guidelines, office policies and procedures * Pro-rating or removing taxable value based on PVD directives and guidelines, office policies and procedures * Assisting and processing tax grievance applications * Researching and preparing Change Orders for Tangible Individual Personal Property Accounts, Tangible Business Property Accounts, and Real Estate Accounts * Discovering, listing, and valuing personal and business property assets * Researching and correcting discrepancies **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess: * A high school diploma or equivalent * One year of customer service experience in a professional office setting or administrative support * The ability to successfully pass the following courses within three years of hire date: International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) Course 101 Fundamentals of Real Property Appraisal, Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), Kansas Property Tax Law, Kansas Personal Property Valuation and Assessment, Orion Introduction and Overview of Basic Functionality **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: * Two years of mass appraisal experience * An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field * One or more of the following professional designations: Registered Mass Appraiser (RMA), Certified Assessment Evaluator (CAE), Residential Evaluation Specialist (RES), Mass Appraisal Specialist (MAS), or Assessment Administration Specialist (AAS) **Skills and Competencies** To excel in this role, you will need to possess: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team * Strong customer service skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As a Customer Service Representative - APPRAISER at arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to: * Develop your skills and knowledge in appraisal-related tasks and processes * Work collaboratively with a dynamic team of professionals * Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities * Advance your career through promotions and professional growth opportunities * Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverages, paid leave, regular compensation reviews, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities **Work Environment and Company Culture** arenaflex is committed to providing a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
